TeamStrength™

iStock_000006337272SmallThe TeamStrength™ organizational assessment and improvement process is designed to lay the foundation for enduring improvement. A typical outcome is a “newly constituted” organization that is perceived as responsive, flexible, effective and a valuable partner.

Attention is paid to the culture within the leadership core (source culture) and culture among the rest of the organization (culture-in-use), including thoughts and perceptions, and how one influences the other.

Custom questions are designed to closely target levers-for-change. Tercon will perform discovery through interviews, observations and focus groups. The survey will then be designed to produce clear, actionable data that will help drive improvement in specific areas.

The survey is custom-designed to probe understanding of the thoughts and perceptions of leaders, employees and sometimes customers on a deep level. The tool focuses on all aspects of the culture to allow the organization to accurately target improvement efforts.

Our commitment is to provide people at all levels in the organization with the targeted information needed to change their behaviors and improve relationships. Most cultures contain those habitual behaviors that are amenable to change. However, for this change to occur, key behaviors must be identified, “owned”, and targeted-for-change. Desirable new behavior must be both measured and reinforced for it to stick.

The assessment lays the foundation to quantify three types of factors:

  1. Observed changes in individual behavior: Tercon will suggest methodology for both self-report and other-observed behaviors.
  2. Quality of relationships: Tercon uses our signature Quality of Interface instrument to measure changes in business unit functioning vis-à-vis other teams and organizations
  3. Overall organizational trends are tracked and influenced over time, using Tercon’s proven change management methodology.

Alignment occurs when there is a one-to-one correspondence with espoused mission, vision and values relative to day-to-day commitment and behavioral choices, and when all on the team share the same commitment to the same goals and processes.
